INTRODUCING: WRITE ABOUT NOW

I made a course and it’s ready for you!

Introducing: Write About Now *:・゚✧ An online journey of self-inquiry via mindful journaling and beginner’s meditation, designed especially for newbs.

And when I say newbs, I mean people who have never meditated before, people who’ve tried and quickly given up because they think they suck, people who are neurodivergent, and people who want to use writing (the automatic, cathartic kind) as a creative gateway into practicing mindfulness and growing their awareness.
At one stage, I’ve been all of these people. Even when I became a regular meditator, I still felt like a phoney, because I still couldn’t always be “disciplined” the way other people could. It took me many years of experimentation before I was able to make it work for me, especially as an autistic person with ADHD. Now, I’m a meditation teacher who’s registered with the nation’s peak professional body. Brag.

I don’t want you to spend half your life beating yourself up for being “bad” at meditation, like I did. I want to help to ENJOY being “bad” at it! (You’re supposed to be.) And I want you to have the permission slip that I wish I was given earlier. To learn to walk your own path to a more self-aware, intentional, balanced, and expressive life.

THE OVERVIEW

Write About Now is an on-demand program that blends meditation (about two thirds) with mindful journaling (about one third). It’s designed to take six weeks (one week per module) at a minimum, but I made it to be self-paced so you can take as long as you need.

Every module of Write About Now is themed around an aspect of self-inquiry and over the course of each, you’ll have the chance to learn a different type of meditation, go through a guided journaling practice, and consistently build on a central anapanasati (breath awareness) meditation practice that’s precisely your own. All via explanatory videos and guided audio meditations, as well as transcripts.

Included in the program is an introductory module containing lectures on the what, why, and how of meditation and mindful journaling. There’s also dedicated lessons on how to adapt the practice to suit your needs, including guides to variations in breathing, sitting, standing, and movement.

Other meditation practices you’ll learn come from Buddhist, neo-pagan, somatic, deep ecology (and more!) traditions and schools of thought. As a teacher, I have no specific lineage and I don’t represent any tradition. Together, we'll humbly and respectfully learning from these various traditions and practices, and will be encouraged to follow our own threads of curiosity towards deeper knowledge and knowledge-holders. As such, this course is suitable for people of all spiritualities, or indeed none.

WRITE ABOUT NOW IS RIGHT FOR YOU IF…..

  • You’ve never meditated before (or for long) but you have a sincere interest in learning to begin a regular practice, your way, in your own home and time.

  • You’re keen to discover or deepen the practice of mindful journalling (automatic writing) as a form of mindfulness, self-care, and creative outlet.

  • You feel resourced and ready to go on a stretchy journey of self-inquiry! Knowing you have professionals, tools, and supports to lean on. Please see the FAQ on my site for more on this one.

  • You’re committed to gently developing a regular—ideally daily—meditation practice and are equally committed to doing it imperfectly, with humour, and via baby steps.

  • Finally, this course is for you if you care more about the benefits of presence, insight, compassion, acceptance, and equilibrium, than you do about becoming more productive or perfect.

THE COST

Write About Now is yours forever for $187 USD

Yes, that’s only $10 more than a live tarot reading with me. 🤪 This is a very intentional and values-led launch price. Because firstly, it’s still a significant price in the real world! Secondly, it’s a self-paced course so it doesn’t require my undivided attention in real time—I only need to be available for questions and chats via the comment threads (excited for that). Thirdly, while 98% of my clients are in the USA, I pay taxes in another currency, so it translates to more locally.

But the only important answer: this is meditation we’re talking about! These practices are ancient, universal, radical, and needed. Full stop.

Founding students of Write About Now will have lifetime access, so even if the course expands in content, production value, or delivery mode and thus price, it will forever be yours.

If you’re experiencing ongoing financial hardship and social marginalisation, a number of 60% off scholarships are available, just contact me on my website (email icon in the top right) to apply.

If you’re based in so-called Australia and a self-managed or plan-managed fellow NDIS participant, you can also use your Core funding to purchase this course! Contact me to arrange.

I can’t wait to lovingly steward the mind towards presence with you. See you in there. ✩*:・゚✧⋆
